The last couple of years has seen some dramatic improvement in the habitat — we’re now able to generate our own mulch. This volunteer day involved doing some chop and drop around the food forest areas, and an area-wise survey to assess the plant life.
Breakfast and lunch were arranged at the farm with prior confirmation. Volunteers were asked to carry a cap, sunglasses, a water bottle, and preferably their own plate and glass — and to bring along any saplings growing at home.
Co-hosted with Beforest, a community-based holistic sustainable farming initiative focused on developing self-sustained food forests.
